I started CrossFit in 2012. After playing college volleyball and dabbling in amateur 5k races, I was looking for a new form of fitness, something with which I could be constantly challenged and could do long term. Needless to say, I was hooked almost immediately. I belonged to CrossFit Shift in Lansing, Mi until my husband’s job was moved to Destin in 2015. What I love about CrossFit is its commitment to overall health and longevity. As an ER nurse, one of the most common accidents I see are ground-level falls related to weakness and poor core stability. I earned my Level 1 in 2019 so I could teach others the keys to lifelong health and fitness.
